Philips ultrawide monitor

The huge desktop display from Philips combines the screens of two large monitors.

Corner to corner, the new Philips 45B1U6900C measures 44.5 inches. That equates to two desktop displays in size. large ones.

The new Philips looks especially attractive for artistic applications thanks to its 32:9 aspect ratio, 1500R curvature, and double QHD resolution (5,120 x 1,440).

The remainder of the spec sheet is also rather remarkable. A USB-C docking hub with an RJ45 connector is included with the Philips, allowing devices without wired networking connectors, to connect to your wired network, if you have one. It is also a great alternative for ultra-thin laptops that forego pluggability in favor of portability because it offers up to 100W of power via USB-C PD and includes USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports that can transfer data at speeds of up to 5Gbps.

There is DisplayHDR 400, 178-degree viewing angle, Eyesafe RPF certification for minimal blue light emissions, and an inbuilt KVM switch to connect and switch between various devices. The best feature is perhaps the most basic one: the sticky-out piece on the monitor’s left side is a hook for hanging headphones.
