Xencelabs Pen Display 24 drawing tablet

For artists, the Xencelabs Pen Display 24 Studio Series offers a big touchscreen drawing and editing experience.

Among digital artists, Xencelabs is well-known for its selection of high-end design tools, such as the Pen Tablet Medium, Pen Tablet Mini, and the Quick Keys programmable remote. The Pen Display 24 Studio Series from Xencelabs is being introduced in an effort to compete with the well-known Wacom Cintiq line.

Edge-to-edge tempered glass and Xencelabs’ Super-AG Etching, which provides superior glare and reflection reduction, are also characteristics of the 24-inch panel. These features make the screen more usable in bright spaces with overhead illumination. A fingerprint-resistant coating lessens streaks and smudges. The etched glass screen provides a natural feeling of friction to resemble drawing on conventional paper surfaces when used with the supplied pen.

The Pen Display supports six commercially accepted color schemes and offers up to 1.07 billion colors for precise color reproduction. Because of its 4K Ultra-High Definition quality, photos may be magnified without losing their sharpness and clarity. The Pantone Validated and Pantone SkinTone Validated Pen Display 24 reliably reproduces the entire palette of Pantone Colors as well as realistic and varied skin tones in photographs.

An realistic pen experience is provided by the Pen Display 24 Studio Series. Two pen sizes are offered to accommodate various hand sizes and drawing preferences. Each pen features an eraser, and the larger pen contains a second configurable button. Pens can be set to a user’s preferred sensitivity of as little as 3g, which works with the pressure curve of the display.

The included Xencelabs Quick Keys can be attached to the side of the Pen Display 24 and allows artists to add customizable shortcut keys, with each key able to be labeled using the integrated OLED display. There can be up to 40 shortcuts per application with button settings automatically switching between applications. The physical dial offers four function modes for zoom, rotation, brush size, and other functions. Users can quickly access settings via three programmable LED buttons on the top of the Pen Display.

Using just one hand, the Xencelabs Pen Display 24 can be adjusted to any tilt between 16 and 72 degrees. The Pen Display 24 is available with a variety of stand and arm configurations due to its modest weight (5.8 kg / 12.8 lbs) and ability to be attached using a common VESA attachment (100x100mm).

The Pen Display 24 includes the Display, two Pens, Quick Keys, and Tilt Stand, as well as all the other essential tools a beginning artist will want. The display is compatible with all widely used operating systems, and drivers for Mac, PC, or Linux are available.

The Pen Display 24 costs $1,899 and will be available in the second quarter of 2023, but preorders are now being accepted on a first come, first served basis.
