Acer, a computer company, has entered the e-bike business.
With the ebii, Acer is making a major entrance in the e-bike industry.
You may be more familiar with Acer as a player in the PC and laptop markets, but the company is now entering the e-bike market. In its first try, it claims an assisted top speed of 20 mph and a battery life of about 70 miles.
Although it will take the battery about two hours and thirty minutes to fully charge, it isn’t the main trick. That is, the same charger that powers the ebii may also be used to power laptops and smartphones.
It appears that Acer is marketing the ebiiGO app as a sort of one-stop shop for everything ebii. You may check the battery level of your bike there, for instance, and there are also recommended routes available. Although the bike will lock itself anytime the connected phone is too far away, you must go there to lock and unlock the bike.
Your ebii should be fairly secure if you combine that last feature with an anti-theft alarm.
The ebii appears to be an intriguing newcomer to the e-bike industry. It has more lights than a Christmas tree and collision detection sensors. The airless tires will ensure that you never have to cope with the most irritating problem any road user can experience: a flat.
