A new portable monitor from Philips that can also serve as the hub of your laptop charging arrangement has been unveiled.
The Philips 16B1P3302D may not have the most appealing moniker, but it more than makes up for it in other respects.
The first of these is just how awesome the thing is. The 16B1P3302D is about as portable as anything that large has any right to be, measuring in at almost 16 inches. It boasts a LowBlue Mode and a 1080p resolution, both of which are intended to lessen flickering and enhance the viewing experience. It is meant to reduce eye strain, but until we actually see the product, it is difficult to say for sure.
The EasyRead mode is the next option, which enables you to pick up the monitor and utilize it somewhat like a Kindle. Although we doubt many people will want to carry something this large about only to make it easier to read the newspaper, who knows.
Only the foldable stand, another nice feature, allows for that EasyRead mode. It functions as any other kickstand when used in the folding position, offering the monitor a mechanism to maintain its upright position when put on a desk or table. But, it can also fold back on itself, making it incredibly portable hotness.
There are two USB-C ports on the 16B1P3302D. One can be used as a power source that supports USB-C Power Delivery 3.0 at up to 90W. The other connector, though, can likewise output that power at a rate of 65W, which means it can charge all USB-C-capable devices other than the 16-inch version of Apple’s notebooks.
If you want to include the 16B1P3302D in your daily carry, you can do so starting in March 2023.
