Razer’s new ultra-light gaming mouse

With its ultra-premium magnesium alloy build, the Razer Viper Mini Signature Edition is the company’s lightest mouse to date.

The ultra-premium Razer Viper Mini Signature Edition gaming mouse from Razer is the company’s lightest model to date.

Razer has reduced the weight to only 49 grams by using magnesium alloy and a chassis studded with holes, but the price tag is incredibly large.

This new mouse is one of the most expensive we’ve ever seen, costing $279.99 in the United States or €319.99 in Europe.

How can Razer explain the price, then? The head of Razer’s PC Gaming Division, Barrie Ooi, stated that “we went beyond our regular design process to look at material selection and various industrial designs to produce an ultra-durable magnesium alloy exoskeleton chassis in the fan-favorite Viper Mini shape.”

Because of this, the Viper Mini Signature Edition is our lightest mouse ever, at just 49 grams.

Charlie Bolton, Razer’s Director of Industrial Design, adding “We needed a material with an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio since we wanted to go beyond the conventional honeycomb design. We considered polymers, carbon fiber, and even titanium before settling on magnesium alloy because of its excellent qualities.”

The internals, in addition to the elegant skeleton, are equally stunning.

The Focus Pro 30K optical sensor, third-generation optical mouse switches, and real 4000Hz wireless polling rates are all included in the Razer Viper Mini Signature Edition.

If you’ve got some real elbow strength, the mouse can track movement at up to 70 Gs of acceleration with a 99.8% resolution accuracy.

A set of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 mouse skates, grip tape, a USB-C charging cable, and even a microfiber cleaning cloth are all included in the box along with the HyperPolling wireless dongle.
